Danny Edward Rowland, Sr.

Danny Edward Rowland, Sr., 82, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Graham County, NC, son of the late Charlie and Lenora Grindstaff Rowland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Danny Edward Rowland, Jr.; his grandson, Jess Rowland; and his siblings, Wanda Pressley and Ronald Rowland.

Mr. Rowland loved fishing, you could often find him on a lake with a buddy catching fish in the peaceful surroundings of nature. He also loved to restore old cars, he did body and paint work, sometimes from the chassis up. Mr. Rowland is survived by his wife, Carolyn Helton Rowland; his daughter, Regina Lynn Rowland; his stepchildren, Robin Dugan, Karen Daniels, and Scott Owens; his grandson, Caleb Nathanial Rowland; his grand-daughter, Emma Lou; his sister, Brenda Steele; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Rowland will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Cramerton Temple of God Holiness Church, 5021 Wilkinson Boulevard, Gastonia, NC 28056.
