Daron Lynn Robinson, 85 of Mt. Holly, passed away October 28, 2025 at home surrounded by family. Born on September 11, 1940 in Charlotte, NC, Daron was the son of Macabe Robinson and Lucy Gulledge.
Daron graduated from Harry P Harding HS in 1959 and it was there that he met his love and wife of nearly 65 years, Beverly Elizabeth Robey. Daron worked for Eastern Airlines for 23 years in Charlotte, Greensboro and Greenville, SC. A job he was very passionate about and would share stories of for years.
Before retiring he worked delivering automotive paint and supplies for Carolina Auto Body and Supply Company and was voted Employee of the Year by his colleagues.
Daron enjoyed gardening and loved his flowers and working in his yard. He was an avid, longtime Clemson Tigers fan and member of IPTAY beginning in 1977 and attended nearly all football games until the 1990s.
Daron attended Grace Baptist Church in Mt. Holly where they had many close friends in their Sunday School class and congregation.
His greatest love was his family. He is survived and greatly missed by wife Beverly, son Daron Lynn Robinson, Jr. (Shelly Love Robinson), daughter Angela Kiser, granddaughters Erika Phillips (Davis) and Jessica Greene (Jared) and beloved great-grandchildren Carter & Wyatt Phillips and Ivy Greene and sister-in-law Jeanie Robey.
He is preceded in death by his parents Macabe & Lucy Robinson, younger brothers Rodney Robinson and Arnold Dean Robinson, great-grandson Henry Phillips and many aunts, uncles and cousins, whom he was close with.
The family is grateful for the assistance from Carolina Caring and longtime family friend Gayle Brown in Daron’s final weeks.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 12:00 p.m on Monday November 3, 2025 at Grace Baptist Church in Mount Holly. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service on Monday also at the Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
