David Lee Featherstone

David Lee Featherstone, age 67 passed away on Friday December 20, 2024 at Highland Heights Health & Rehabilitation.  He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of the late William and Mozelle Coley Featherstone.  

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Timmy Featherstone, Linda Frisbee, Mike Featherstone, and Junior Featherstone.  

David was a person with a large sense of humor who loved his grandkids and great grandchildren, He was an avid cook and enjoyed beach trips and trips to thrift stores.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his partner Richard Dowd; his daughters: Patricia Featherstone and Chastity Featherstone (Rico); his siblings: Roger Featherstone (Debbie), Johnny Featherstone, Dale Featherstone (Tina), and Brenda Mauney (Donald); his grandchildren: Brooke, Brianna, Justin, Jeremy, Emily, and Hannah; his stepchildren: Richard Dowd Jr., Joseph and Ashley; seven great grandchildren, as well as his step grandchildren: Hannah, RJ, JD, Cody, Terrance, and Taylor 

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday December 26, 2024 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Thursday also at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
