It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Lynn Peche, Jr., 44, on Sunday, June 8, 2025. He was born in Gaston County, son of David Lynn Peche, Sr. and Judith Groner Bradshaw. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Ollie (Boots) Groner; and his paternal grandfather, Richard Peche, Sr.
David was a jack of all trades, gifted with the ability to fix and build just about anything. He especially loved electronics, often immersing himself in projects that reflected his creativity and intelligence. David believed deeply in Jesus Christ. He demonstrated that belief not only in words, but in action - most memorably when he took part in a live reenactment of Christ's crucifixion, portraying Jesus as he carried the cross through his hometown.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by his son, Michael David Peche; his siblings, Chasity Thompson (Jason), Jeremy Peche (JK), and half-sister, Heather Peche; his paternal grandmother, Mary Joyce Peche; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A service to celebrate David's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Belmont Foursquare Church, 8 Elizabeth St., Belmont, NC. Pastor Kevin Ford will officiate. The family will receive friends, before the service, at the church beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children by visiting www.donate.lovetotherescue.org. Condolence messages may be sent to the family by visiting www.woodlawnfuneral.org. Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mount Holly is caring for David's family.
