David William Shook

David William Shook, 90, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late David Ernest and Jessie Smith Shook. He was a graduate of Stanley High School and Belmont Abbey College. He owned Consolidated Tax Service in Mount Holly for many years, and was a member of Christ's Lutheran Church in Stanley.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years Delphia Payseur Shook, two daughters Pamela S. Crowe, Lisa S. Choy and husband Dennis, and a grand daughter Jennifer Farina and husband Nicholas.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon on Wednesday December 31 at Woodlawn Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Tim Parker will be officiating.

Interment will follow at Christ's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stanley.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
