Deborah "Debbie" Thomas Watson, 70, of Mount Holly, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Debbie was born on November 10, 1955, in Charlotte, NC. She was the beloved daughter of Calvin Thomas and the late Evelyn Sandles Thomas.
Debbie's life reflected kindness, strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. She loved deeply and gave generously, always putting family, friends, and others before herself. Whether through a warm smile, comforting words, or quiet acts of service. She touched countless lives and leaves behind a legacy of love and grace. Debbie dedicated her life to family and treasured every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her daughter, Tabitha. She found joy in gardening, her flower beds, going to yard sales, and shopping.
In addition to her father, Debbie is survived by her daughter, Tabitha Goforth; her sister, Sandy Gantz; her nieces, Crystal Ramsey, Georgia Gantz; her great-nieces, MaKenzie Rodgers (Brandon), Payton Settlemyre, Madison Mullins, and Evelyn Mullins.
Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Debbie and celebrate her life through a service to be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at East Belmont Baptist Church, Belmont. The family will receive guests at the church one-hour prior to the service.
Though deeply missed her on Earth, we rejoice in knowing that she is now resting in eternal peace. Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in God's care. "Well done, good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:23
