Dock Lancaster, Jr., 93, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at his home. He was born in Iredell County, son of the late Dock Lancaster and Molly Keller Lancaster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of over 70 years, Eunice Griffith Lancaster; his sons, Rickie Lee Lancaster and Junior Dean Lancaster; his grandson, Rocky Beatty, Jr.; and his siblings, Dan Lancaster, Pauline Lancaster Helms, and Ruby Lancaster Cheshire.
Mr. Lancaster is survived by his children, Teresa Lancaster (Ronald) and John Lancaster; his grandchildren, Rickie Hooper (Tammie), Starr Silva (Rogelio), John Boy, Rocky Beatty, Dee Lancaster, Magali Reyes; Miranda Featherstone, Tina Lancaster, Ronnie Lancaster, Jr., Brandy Lancaster, Jimmy Lancaster, and Eric Lancaster; his great-grandchildren, Rosa, Rogelio, Matthew, Aiden, Aurelio, Rickie, Jr., Christopher, Josh, Payten, Caleb, Cody, Ethan, Skyler, Ryland, Brooke, Tyler, Hunter, Riley, Kaley, Jenny, Christian, Caden, Hannah, Corbin, Syvanna, and Ciji; his daughter-in-law, Wanda Lancaster; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Lancaster will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly, Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will greet guest from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the funeral home.
