Donald Lee Allen

Donald Lee Allen, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 16, 2023.  He was born in Mecklenburg County and was the son of the late Romiro Aceves and Joan Aceves who survives.  He is preceded in death by his son Daniel Allen, his daughter Sherry Allen, and his step father Romiro "Tony" Aceves, as well as his mother and father in law William and Rachel Klouse.   He will be remembered as a humble man as well as loving husband and father who loved his children.  In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and playing his guitar at Church. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Edith Allen, his children: Bryan Allen, Tiffanee Haney (Christopher), Christian Snider (fiancé Joshua), Cheyenne Haynes (Jason), and Ayrrianna Allen; his siblings: Ronald Allen, Sissie Schronce (Lanny), Nathan Ray, and Maria Aceves, and his grandchildren: Chandler Allen, Cayden Allen, Brantley Haney, Leland Haney, and Ezekiel Harris. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregivers Brent and Crystal.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday August 23, 2023 at Springwood Free Will Baptist Church: 826 Stanley Spencer Mountain Road
Gastonia, NC 28056.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday also at the Church.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly.
