Donald Terry Propst

Donald Terry Propst, 69, of Belmont, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. He was born in Gaston County to the late Grady Lewis Propst and Ella Mae Smith Propst. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jackie Baker Propst; his daughter Samantha Ann Propst; his twin brother Ronald Perry Propst; and his sister Jean Heffner. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Donna Hooker and her husband Byron; two grandchildren, Quentin Samuel Hooker and Skylar Matteline Hooker; and his siblings Joyce Cope and her husband Robert, Vicky Poovey and her husband Jerry, Ricky Propst, and several nieces and nephews. The family will greet guests from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at New Bethel Independent Missionary Baptist Church, 4108 Mountain View Street in Gastonia. A service to celebrate his life will be held immediately following at 11:00, also at the church. Interment will conclude in the church cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
