Doris "Dottie" (Huskins) Maloy

Doris "Dottie" Aline Huskins Maloy, 82, of Stanley, passed away suddenly and went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 23, 2023 with her husband and daughter by her side. She was born in Gaston County to the late Tommy and Aline Huskins. Dottie lived her life the best she knew how, she loved with a passion and she was loved with a passion. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, of 49 years, Patrick; daughter, Lesley McDowell and her husband, Ty; granddaughter, Selena McDowell and boyfriend, Dylan Bearden; stepdaughter, Mickie and husband, Bruce Williams; step grandsons, Connor and wife, Jessica Maloy and Nicholas Silardi; brother, Roger Huskins and wife, Marilyn; sister, Sylvia Canipe; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate Dottie's life will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Make a Wish Foundation at www.wish.org. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home where Dottie worked and served the Mount Holly community for nearly 10 years. She will be dearly missed by all of the Woodlawn family.
