Dorothy June Vance

Dorothy June Vance, 84, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Lloyd Lawson Vance and Flossie Blackwood Vance. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Blair; her son, Johnny Dwight Cartrett; her granddaughter, Adrian Blair; her siblings, Zelma Vance, Arnold Vance, Lonnie Vance, Shirley Vance, Barbara Lowsteter; and Hazel Hunt.

Ms. Vance is survived by her children, Sandra K. Cartrett (Fiance', Jeff Beaty) and Sherry Jackson (Robert); her grandchildren, Ashton Effler, Kylie Wilson, Tony "Bubby" Wilson, Crystal Wilson (Tony), and Kailey Holcomb; great-grandchildren, Gracin Henderson, Aaliyah Albright, and Kyrie Albright; her sisters, Carolyn Graham and Lucy Holden; and a number of nieces and nephews.
