Dwayne Michael Haywood, 51, of Mt. Holly, left this world far too soon. Born on October 23, 1973, in Bluefield, West Virginia, Dwayne brought joy, laughter, and love to everyone who knew him. He was a cherished son, father, brother, and friend, and his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Dwayne was the beloved son of Darrell and Donna Haywood, who instilled in him the values of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Haywood, and his dear friend, Barry Martin, both of whom he loved deeply.
Dwayne is survived by his five children: Jayden Black, Jennah Haywood, Seth Haywood, Jace Carothers, and Layla Haywood. And two grandchildren: Mason and Beckham.
Dwayne also leaves behind his mother, Donna Haywood, and his sister, Donella Haywood-Vignolini, as well as his niblings: Zip and Dominic. And special friends Jaime Stewart and Vicky King.
Dwayne was known for his infectious laughter and warm-hearted nature. He had an incredible ability to bring people together and light up any room he entered. Whether it was through his love for music, dance, storytelling, or simply sharing a meal with family and friends, he was a unifying force in the lives of those around him.
As we remember Dwayne, let us celebrate the love he gave freely and the joy he brought into our lives. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever be a guiding light, reminding us to cherish each moment, to love unconditionally, and to hold our families close.
Rest in peace, Dwayne, you will be missed more than words can express, and your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
