Edna Mae (Gibby) Dilling

Edna Gibby Dilling, age 93, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday June 13, 2024 at Highland Heights Health & Rehab in Gastonia.  She was born in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Isaac and Nettie Muse Gibby.  She was a dedicated homemaker who took great pride in taking care of her home and family and was also a member of Ridge Baptist Church in Gastonia.  

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Watson Dilling, as well as her siblings: Verlon, Thomas, and Juanita Gibby.  

Those left to cherish her memory include her two children: Eugene Dilling (Teresa). and Ken Dilling, her sister Sandy Brucke, her sister-in-law Bobbie Sue Gibby, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday June 17, 2024 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Monday also at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte.
