Ellen Ethelee (Hall) Huskins

Ellen Ethelee Hall Huskins, 91, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022. She was born in Gaston County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Elmer Huskins; her father, Cilvan Hall; her mother, Ada Odell McAllister Hall Abernathy; her stepfather, Lawson Alexander Abernathy; and her siblings, Jimmy Abernathy, Fred Hall, and Wilene Killian.

Mrs. Huskins is survived by her children, Robert Alan Huskins (Sheila), Robin Leigh Huskins Vaughn (David), and Brian Craig Huskins (Robin); her grandchildren, Julia Kelly Huskins Lock (John), Laura Jane Huskins (Brian), Callie Jo Huskins McHugh (Paul), Tonya Aiken (Ron), Daniel Vaughn, Brian Nick Huskins, Austin Tyler Huskins (fiancé, Autumn Sargent), Cole Dixon Huskins (Jordan), and Amanda Lynn Kersey; her great-grandchildren, Oscar, Jayden, Tyler, and Bryce; her great great-grandchildren, Layla, Ariana, and soon-to-arrive, Lane; her sister, Norma Jean Gibson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Huskins will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Alexis Baptist Church, Alexis, NC. The family will greet guests from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Ellen to Alexis Baptist Church (118 Alexis Church Rd, Alexis, NC 28006) and/or Gaston Hospice (www.gastonhospice.org). The family would like to thank Gaston Hospice and Palliative Care, and also the wonderful staff at Robin Johnson House for the care given to our mother and our family during this difficult time.
