Everett H. Perry, 82, of Mount Holly, NC passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a battle with dementia. Everett was born on February 7, 1943, in Quincy, MA to the late Myles and Carrie Perry. He grew up in the town of Milton, MA and then Holbrook, MA. He was a graduate of Milton H.S., Northeastern University, and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He taught at Blue Hills Regional Technical H.S. as well as working at various civil and structural engineering firms in Boston, MA. Later on in his career he moved to Worcester, MA to teach land surveying at Worcester Industrial Technical Institute as well as owning his own land surveying company where he employed many of his students. Due to economic changes, he then went on to work for TDS Telecom in WI and Byers Engineering in NC, as a right of way engineer before retiring in 2014. Everett had a strong faith in God and family through the years, always giving God 1st place in every aspect of his life. His unwavering spiritual life carried him through life right up to the end. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Myles and Carrie Perry; his brother, Donald Perry; and his 2 sisters, Irene Barefoot and Ruth Warner. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol Lee Perry of Mount Holly; his 3 children, Carol Lynn (Marc) Smith of Mount Holly, Mark (Carol) Perry of Mount Holly, and Brendon Perry of Fort Wayne, IN; his 6 grandchildren, Dean (Brandi) Perry, Kevin (Erika) Perry, Katelynn (Alec) Gammons, Emily Perry, Brad Perry, and Ella Perry; 4 great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Leighton, Theoren, and Dawson; a niece, Renee; and nephews, Cal, Ron, Dale, Dwight, and Doug.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 375 Woodlawn Ave., Mount Holly, NC 28120. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.
