Everette Russell Roberts, 78, lost his long battle with cancer on Sunday, December 7, 2025. He was born in Surry County, son of the late Floyd Dewitt and Valera Day Roberts Spencer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Dewitt Roberts, Jr.; and numerous brother and sister-in-laws, who were all loved dearly.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rose (Susie) Parsons Roberts; his daughter, Andrea Roberts Wyant (Brian); his granddaughter, Alayna Rose Kropfelder; his sisters, Derena Brown (Gary), Sybil Driver, and Laura Simmons (Randy); his sister-in-law, Everine Brooks; his brother-in-law, Bud Parsons (Annette), and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Roberts' life will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Catawba Heights Baptist Church, Belmont, NC. Pastors Raymond Johns and Phil Meadows will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church.
