Gary Wayne Owens

Gary Wayne Owens, 76, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. He was born in Gaston County and was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps where he served as a Sergeant and was a jet mechanic. Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Owens is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Tabitha Clements Owens; his daughter, Ashley Lyman (David); his grandson, Evan; and close family friends, Wendy Davis, Mary Bradley, and Maria Morgan.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Owens will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at First United Methodist Church of Stanley, Common Ground, 5481 Hickory Grove Rd., Stanley, NC 28164.
