George Eugene Bryant passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2026, at the age of 76.Born on January 6, 1950, in Haywood County, North Carolina, George spent much of his life doing what he loved most: working on cars. A skilled mechanic and shop owner for many years, he built a reputation for hard work and a willingness to help others. Even after retirement, his passion for automobiles and racing remained a defining part of who he was. George enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved his dogs, browsing thrift stores in search of a good find, and anything involving cars and racing. Whether he was working on a vehicle, watching a race, or sharing stories with family and friends, he found joy in the things he loved and the people around him. George loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer support, or simply be present when it mattered most. His children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter brought him great joy throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy. George is survived by his daughter, Sandra; his son, Greg; his grandchildren, Trinity, Holden, Isabella, and Luciana; his great-granddaughter, Prescott; his sisters, Teresa and Hilda; his brother, Bill; his wife, Vickie; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly, North Carolina.
