Guy Stilwell

Guy Stilwell, age 78, passed away on April 12, 2021, at Stanley Total Living Center.  He was born in Gaston County and was the son of the late Mary Helton and Claude Franklin Stilwell.  Guy loved his family and friends dearly and also was a loving caregiver to his sister Ruth S. Dellinger.  He was a Christian man and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Iron Station.  Sports were also important to Guy as he always enjoyed watching the Hornets, Panthers, and Braves.  Guy also enjoyed eating with family and friends.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Mildred Nixon, as well as his two brothers: Claude Junior Stilwell, and Charles David Stilwell.  Those left to cherish his memory include many nieces and nephews, as well as several great nieces and great nephews.  A graveside service to celebrate Guy's life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday April 16th at Castanea Community Church Cemetery.
