Herbert Ray Ownsby

Herbert Ray Ownsby, 89, of Gastonia, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022. He was born in Newport, Tennessee to the late James Robert Ownsby and Gussie Barnes Ownsby. He proudly served in the United States Army. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Martha; his children, Marty Ownsby and his wife, Jo and Debbie Sanford and her husband, Dale; his brother, James Robert Ownsby, Jr. and his wife, Brenda; grandchildren, Jason Ownsby and Laticia Williams and her husband Richard; and his great grandson, Noah Vess. A graveside inurnment service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.
