Holly Elizabeth (Dixon) Monroy

Holly Elizabeth Dixon Monroy, 43, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of Ronald Lee Dixon and Cindy Morton Dixon. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Hiley Mathis Dixon; her maternal grandmother, Vernie Morton Stone; her brother, Ronald Lee Dixon, Jr.; her aunts, Patricia Morton Bowers and Donna Morton Price; her uncle, Jeffrey Dixon; and her cousins, Destiny Morton and Billy Dixon.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Monroy is survived by her husband, Carlos Monroy; her son, Alex Monroy; her siblings, Marla Ivester (Chris), Sarah Dixon Huesca (Jose'), Melissa Cordova (Roberto), Samantha Dixon, Crystal Morton, and Timothy Dixon (Amanda); her aunts and uncles, Billy and Wanda Guffey, Rebecca Morton Rojas, Dennis and Debbie Dixon, David and Tammy Dixon, Carl and Debbie Messer, Dave and Sarah Martin, Harold and Debbie Dixon, Jimmy Morton, Dennis Price, and Angie Morton; her nieces, Brooklyn, Brianna, Vanessa, Alissa, and Kaylee; her nephews, Logan, Jayden, Adon, L'Man, Jacob, Timothy, Jr., Andre', and Aryan; lots and lots of cousins; and her best friend, Tabitha Pickleseimer Morton.

To celebrate her life, family and friends will gather from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly, NC.
