Isabelle Moore Stowe passed away peacefully at Covenant Village in Gastonia on February 6, 2021. She was born in Mount Holly to the late Frank Glover Moore and Nannie Nantz Moore and resided there until moving to Covenant Village in 2009. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her dear husband, William Whiten Stowe. Isabelle is also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Glover Moore, Hazeline Massey, Wilson ‘Bill’ Moore, Ken Moore, Jack Moore, Jo Griffith, Frances Hart, Kitty Harris and by her niece Nancy Nanney.
Mrs. Stowe was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Mount Holly. She retired after a long administrative career with North Carolina National Bank in Charlotte.
She is survived by loving nieces and a nephew, Eloise G. Penn, Nan H. Watson, Delia G. Farnum, Jane H. Hawley and Llewellyn H. Griffith, Jr. and several great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their love and gratitude to the Covenant Village staff for their care and support over the years.
At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Due to COVID restrictions, a private graveside service for immediate family members will be held in Mount Holly.
