Ivey Wayne Goude, Sr.

Ivey Wayne Goude, Sr., 63, of Lowell, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at his home. He was born in Gaston County on May 19, 1957. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was loved by all who met him. He was preceded in death by his mother Eva Jones Goude as well as a sister Cathy Moore. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Wilma Messer Goude; children Wayne Goude, Jr. (Misty), Lorie Goude, and Angie Waters (Dale); two sisters, Terri Andersen (John) and Jo Covey; grandchildren Isaac and Kaley Goude, and Nevaeh and Caleb Brown; mother-in-law Willie Messer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will greet guests from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. A service to celebrate his life will be held immediately following at 2:00, also at the funeral home. Interment will conclude at Hollywood Cemetery in Gastonia.
