Jack Gerwig

Jack Gerwig was 98 years old and lived in Mount Holly, North Carolina. He died of old age on December 6, 2025.

He was born in Glenville, West Virginia, in the year 1927 to the parents of Charles Olin Gerwig and Ruby Catherine May. Jack was a mischievous little boy from the tales he told. From time to time, when he was bad, he would say with a chuckle, "Mom would make me cut my own switch."
Jack attended Webster Springs High School before majoring in Mining Engineering and graduated in 1950 from West Virginia University before going to work at Bird Machine Company.
Jack is survived by Jack Gerwig, Jill Read, Lisa Bennett, Joel Gerwig, Christopher Gerwig and Julia Mullins, he also had 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

Per Jack's wishes, there will be no ceremony or funeral procession.

Jack will be known for his love of sports, his generosity, and his grand sense of humor. He loved his children dearly, and he will be missed very much.
