Jack Ray Spargo, 79, of Stanley, NC, went home to be with the Lord on May 6, 2021. He was a lifetime resident of Stanley, son of the late Ray and Virginia Keever Spargo, and loving husband to the late Betty Anderson Spargo, who passed away in 2007 after their 45 years of marriage. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a proud, loving member of the Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he taught Sunday school and served several terms as a Deacon throughout his life. He was an avid college football and basketball fan and loved cheering for his NC State Wolfpack every chance he could.
Survivors include his two sons, Michael (Marion) of Charlotte, and Chad of Stanley, one granddaughter, Whitley, of Charlotte, a brother, David Spargo, of Stanley, and nephew Tommy Spargo of Independence, VA.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church, followed by interment at Hillcrest Gardens. Rev. Dr. Danny Penny will officiate.
