James Lamarr Drumm Sr, of Mount Holly, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 4, 2024. He was born on January 29, 1937, in Mount Holly, North Carolina, son of the late Clarence Drumm and Ella "Allie" Tredway Drumm. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Perrie “Pat” Glass Drumm; and his siblings, Jack Drumm, Ruth Grier, Frank Drumm, and Charlie Drumm.
Jim graduated from Mount Holly High School in 1955, before entering the US Air Force in July 1955, where he served as a basic airman until 1956. He married Perrie "Pat" Glass on September 12, 1983. Jim was an avid fisherman and golfer, and his love of the Lord lead him to many years of serving the church and community. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Mount Holly.
He is survived by his sons, Lamarr Drumm, and Todd Drumm, and his wife, Jennifer; his daughter, Mitzi Williams, and her husband, Chuck; three grandchildren, Eli Williams (Heaven), and Savannah and Delaney Drumm; his great-grandson, Uriah Williams; his sister, Doris Starnes; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. Jim's grandson, Pastor Eli Williams will officiate.
