James Dyer Obituary

James Ronald Dyer, 51, of Dallas NC, known by many as Jim, graduated to his heavenly home to be with Jesus, on May 4, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. He was surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Cleveland County on February 6, 1970 to the late Ronald Eugene Dyer of Enoree, South Carolina and Patsy Greene Dyer of Kings Mountain, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Thermon and Pauline Greene of Kings Mountain and two sisters Tammy Renee Dyer and Wendy Michelle Dyer. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 15 years, Amy Haney Dyer of Dallas, NC and their three fur babies Bruttis, Kadie, and Buddy whom have always been his faithful companions; mother and father in law Larry and Dollie Haney of Dallas, NC; sister and brother in law April and Jonathon Lynch; sister and brother in law Reba and Vern Sisk of Iron Station, NC; brother and sister in law Dean and Lee Ann Haney of Gastonia, NC; two aunts Janet Ledbetter of Shelby, NC and Carolyn Pressler of Albemarle, NC. He was an uncle to David, Daniel, Devan, Brandon, Ashley and husband Drew, Amber and husband Casey; and a great uncle to Savannah, Camden, and Ryker. Also left behind are cousins Tommy, known as "Pee Wee", Frankie, Chad, Kelly, Pam, Lisa and Angie. Jim was an enjoyable, fun, loving guy who will be truly missed. He loved to spend time outdoors and traveling with his wife Amy when he was able. He enjoyed watching ball games, especially football. He was a die hard Cowboys fan. He loved all kinds of animals too. He was known as being the life of the party and could make anyone smile and laugh. He was one of a kind and will be missed by many, but memories of him, will last a lifetime. The family will greet guests from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Pearl Baptist Church, 4657 NC-27 in Iron Station. A service to celebrate his life will be held immediately following at 2:00, also at the church. Interment will conclude at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
