James Lee Smith

James Lee Smith, 70, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Geraldine Smith Stines. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sons, Scott Smith and Roger Smith; and his brother, Steve Stines. Mr. Smith was a kind, simple, and humble man who enjoyed fishing and working on his boat.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Loralee Camp Smith; his children, Michael Smith, James Smith and his wife, Monica, Shawn Parton and his wife, Katie, and Misty Mancilla and her husband, Juan; his sisters, Kay Owens and Sandy Stines; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a number of other family members.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Smith will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
