Janice (Sanders) Schesny

Janice Sanders Schesny, loving mother, grandmother, and friend, 66, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was born in Newark, NJ, daughter of the late Theodore Arthur Sanders and Laverne Greene Sanders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Bobby Holmes; her sisters, Phyllis O'Brian and Donna Sanders; and her brothers, Gerald Sanders and Billy Sanders.

Ms. Schesny is survived by her children, Daniel Edward Schesny, Jr. and spouse, Nancy Pearce, Donald Ray Schesny and wife, Cyndi Schesny, Faith Ann Schesny, and Renee M. Ledford and spouse, Rhonda Postell; step-children, Katrina Bumgardner, Brenda Wise, and Jamie Garmon; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Diane Sanders and Bobby Sanders; and special niece and nephew, Michelle Riley and Robert Steffey.

A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Schesny will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
