Jeanette Mauldin Kelly, age 84, passed away on January 12, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. She was born in Mecklenburg county and was the daughter of the late Reverend James and Ada Mauldin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James "Buddy" Kelly, a son Robert Kelly, her brother James Mauldin Jr., and a sister Alice Rick. Jeanette was a devout Christian, talented singer as well as a loyal wife, mom and grandmother. She lived most of her life in Mount Holly and was a former member of Second Baptist Church and most recently a member of Boger City Baptist Church. She is survived by her children Jan Kelly, Kevin Kelly and his wife Patsy, a brother Kenneth Mauldin and his wife Sybil, as well as five grandsons: Andy Kelly & wife Deanna, Jacob Kelly, Matthew McDougal, Justin McDougal and Jeremy McDougal. three great-grandchildren: Carter, Adalaide, and Jackson. A service to celebrate Jeanette's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday January 16th at Woodlwan Funeral Home, Mount Holly with the pastor Bill Bigham officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery, Mount Holly. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Boger City Baptist Church in her memory. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
