Jeffery Steven McManus

Jeffery Steven McManus, 68, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at his home. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Blair Eugene McManus and Virginia Dare Gilley McManus. Mr. McManus was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from Charlotte Fire Department.

Mr. McManus is survived by his children, Gene McManus (Sofia), Shannon McManus, and Ruth McManus (Matthew Rutherford); his grandchildren, Damon McManus and Virginia McManus; his fiance', Donna Biggs Whitley; his siblings, Gary McManus (Sheila), Ricky McManus (Pat), Trudie Wilson, and Gilda Hood; his aunt, Frances (Ludie) McGinnis; his uncle, James (Jim) McManus; a number of nieces and nephews; and his granddog, Opie.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. McManus will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly, NC. The family will greet guests from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
