The Obituary

Our beloved Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted

Matthew 5:4

Jeffrey Antonio Hobbs, the Son of Benjamin Franklin Hobbs and Isis Elena Hobbs was born on June 3, 1963 in Brooklyn NY.  He gained his wings in Charlotte, NC on March 4, 2020.

He had a great love for his family, great movies, nice cars and all things electronic.  He was a master at building computers.

He attended Brooklyn Technical High School and invented a device to where you could begin watching cable T.V..  After leaving High School, he served in the U.S. Army for a few years.  Once honorable discharged from service he joined the Corporate World on Wall Street to trade stocks.  Once that chapter was up, he became a NYC Correctional Officer which he retired from and moved to the Carolinas.

Jeff was a loving family member who we could always depend on in our times of need. He was the shining star of the family and what his sister called him “Her Guardian Angel”.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory: His Son Jermaine Anthony Hobbs, His Daughter Jessica Lee Hobbs, His Son Jahleel Timothy Hobbs, His Sister Aisha Elena Hobbs-Moses (Hezekiah), His nephew Khalyl Shatiq Tom, a host of cousins, other loving relatives and a host of friends.

We know he would have wanted the memory of him to be a happy one.

An afterglow of smiles when the day is done…whispering softly down on us of happy times, laughing times and bright sunny days.  I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when this old day is done.
