Jerry Haigler

Jerry Haigler, age 85, of Charlotte passed away on Monday November 11, 2024 at his home.  He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Louis and Rachel Sharpe Haigler.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Shirley Haigler, as well as his siblings: Jackie Haigler, Joyce Plummer, Janet Hoen, Jewel Harris, Johnny Haigler, James Haigler, Terry Haigler, and Jeffery Haigler.

 Those closest to him knew him as Cowboy.  He attended Shady Brook Baptist Church in Charlotte.  Golf was his true passion, and he was especially proud of his hole in one.   In his spare time he loved his trips to the beach and playing horseshoes.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Shelly Kinley (Robert), his sister Jill Meadows (Jackie), his grandson Jacob Kinley, as well as his beloved dogs Abby and Lily, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Connie and Melton Hucks for their time and special care of Jerry.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday November 23, 2024 at Shady Brook Baptist Church in Charlotte with Pastor Tom Ravan officiating.
