Jessie Mae (Jones) Jenkins

Jessie Mae Jones Jenkins, born September 9th 1940 is going back to the Mountains to rest with her family that predeceased her in death; those loved ones include her husband (Elmer Jenkins), Parents (Evie and Wheeler Jones), daughter (Linda Hall), brother (Samuel Jones), sisters: Pearl Snyder, Gail Thayer, Shirley Jones Stroup and Ruby Waldroup.  

Left to cherish her memory are her son David Jenkins and Wife (Terry), brothers Earl Jones (Brenda), Dave Jones, her sister in law Helen Jones Plummer (More like a sister), grandchildren; Lacey Devine (Jason), Dustin Jenkins (Brittany), Sharon Swanton (Steven), Daniel Locklair (Roxanne); Great Grandchildren; Brystal, Jakob and Camden Devine, Everly and Willow Jenkins, Cassie, Timmy, and Danielle Locklair. Jessalyn, Adam and Cody Swanton.  Great Great Grandchild: Mason Couch and many nieces and nephews some we have lost but the ones that remain would have fond memories and colorful stories to tell about their Aunt Jessie.  

Jessie loved to play bingo and gamble, or as her husband would say "Throw away her money".  And of course, in her younger day's she loved to hit the Malls.  She also enjoyed fishing at the Beach and watching the Panthers play.  

She was always smiling and looking for her next adventure.  

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday October 18, 2025 at Swain Memorial Park in Bryson City, NC.
