Joan Elizabeth (Newman) Fritz

Joan Newman Fritz, 89, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026. She was born in Syracuse, New York, daughter of the late Edward Murphy Newman and Charlotte Friend Newman. She was an administrative assistant with the city of Charlotte for many years.

Survivors include two sons Mark Fritz and wife Kathryn, Brad Fritz and wife Marcie, two grandsons Brandon and Austin Fritz, a brother William Newman and his wife Claire, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
