Obituary
Jodie Harris Knight, age 48, passed away on August 11, 2023. She was born in Gaston County and was the daughter of the late Dean Nealy and Sandra Parker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Ashton Smith. She was a huge Duke fan and loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. If you asked her for help she would always be willing to do what she could. She loved scary movies and purple was her favorite color besides blue.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son CJ Smith (Jenifer Jordan), her siblings: Ashley Williams (Courtney), Dustin Parker, Derek Parker, and Cindy Nealy, her grandchildren: Kendall Locke, Nova Raine Smith, Feenix Smith, and Adalyn Smith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday August 26, 2023 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.
