Joey Gene Williams

Joey Gene Williams of Belmont passed away and entered his eternal resting place on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Caramont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. Joey was born in Mecklenburg County on November 29, 1964 to the late Harold & Joyce Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jody Williams.  Left to cherish his memory are his son; Josh Williams (CeCe), his daughters; Amanda Williams, Andrea Garcia(Rony), Lori Burchfield (Aaron), 10 Grandchildren.  His Stepmother Nadine Williams, his brothers Cody (Amanda), Scott (Cindy) , Joel (Elizabeth). He also had many nieces and nephews who will miss their Papa Joe.  Joey loved spending time with his family, loved being outdoors and always had a smile on his face and much love to share.  The Family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 27th at Catawba Heights Baptist Church in Belmont, with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home of Joel & Elizabeth Williams: 237 Browntown Road , Belmont, NC 28012.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Celebrate Recovery at The Heights. Catawba Heights Baptist Church, 311 Belmont Mt. Holly Road.
