John Coleman Freeman

John "Johnny" Freeman, 67 passed away on Tuesday June 24th 2025 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 5, 1957 in Gaston County to the late Archie Freeman and Jewel Mullis Freeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Teresa Caldwell.
John was a beloved husband, dad, pawpaw, brother and friend, who will be missed deeply.
John loved the outdoors from fishing to camping with his wife Wanda, and sitting outside on his porch for hours listening to music and enjoying the sunshine. He also enjoyed watching his westerns and having his fur babies Rowdy and Bella right by his side. John was a textile worker most of his life.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 51 years, Wanda Hall Freeman; his children John Freeman Jr(Tammy), Amy Freeman Greene(Chris) and Marshall Freeman; his grandchildren Tristan, Cassie, Marshall Jr(Dylan), Nicky, Nikayla, Lucas, Cameron and Shuranda. Sisters Vicky Gross(Norman) Brenda Silvers(Reid) Sister in laws Linda Bost(Steve), Sylvia McLean, and Teresa Pope.
A  celebration of life for Mr.Freeman will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 1, 2025, at Springwood Free Will Baptist Church, 826 Stanley Spencer Mtn.Rd, Gastonia NC 28056, with Pastor Jeff Silver officiating. The family will receive friends and family an hour prior to service from 1-2 p.m.
Graveside service will follow at Gaston Memorial Park Gastonia, NC 28054
