Johnny Walter Martin

Johnny Walter "Jahn" Martin, Sr., 85, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. He was born in Tryon, GA, son of the late Quincey A. Martin and Pauline Wike Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Mullis Martin; his son, Jimmy Martin; and his siblings, Marion Umphress and Edna Rector. Mr. Martin was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Mr. Martin is survived by his children, Cindy Martin, John Martin, Jr., Jonathan Martin, Shawn Martin, Jimmy Pinson, Jeffrey Martin, and Susie Martin; his grandchildren, Alexa Martin, Kaleb Martin, Aiden Martin, Tanner Martin, Kerigan Martin, and Jace Martin; his siblings, Bonnie Kelly, Donnie Manchester, and Daniel Martin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held for Mr. Martin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Sharon Baptist Church, 2388 NC-73, Iron Station, NC 28080. Memorials may be made to Sharon Baptist Church.
