Mr. Joseph Gordon Cline, 91, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024. He was born in Lincoln County, son of the late Charles Gordon Cline and Josie Long Cline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Geraldine Goodson Cline; his sister, MaryAnn Cline Hoyle; and his brothers, Terry Cline, Jerry Cline, Donnie Cline, and David Cline.
Mr. Cline is survived by his children, Joe Cline (Marie) and Randy Cline (Karen); his grandchildren, Julie Childers (Jason), Alan Cline (Christen), Amanda Wolf (Billy), and Brittany Freeman (Brian); his great-grandchildren, Emilee Wolf, Hunter Wolf, Jace Childers, Dylan Childers, Colt Cline, Justus Cline, Allison Freeman, and Jackson Freeman; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Cline will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Crossroads Church, Belmont. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the church.
