Joyce Yvonne (Lyles) Cannon

Joyce Yvonne Lyles Cannon, 86, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023. She was born in Rutherford county, daughter of the late Leon Lyles and Genevieve Blackwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Jim Weathers; husband, Don Cannon; her step-daughter, Sherry Human; her grandson, Ryan Human; and her sisters, Shirley Christ and JoAnn Cantrell.

Mrs. Cannon is survived by her children, Tony Weathers (Debbie), Rudy Weathers (Janice), and Terri Sisk (Bobby Lynn); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous great great-grandchildren; her sister, Sondra Tanner; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cannon will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
