Judy (Henson) Stone

Judy Henson Stone, 76, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023. She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late W.G. Henson, Jr. and Frances Morris Henson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lanny Stone; and her brother, Eddy Henson.

Mrs. Stone is survived by her daughter, Ashley Stone Evans (Brian Barrett); her step-children, Robin Stone (Debbie) and Candy Stone (Connie); her grandchildren, Landri Evans and Cooper Evans; her brother, Larry Henson (Margaret); her nieces, Christy Henson and Anna Henson; and her former son-in-law, Todd Evans.

In addition to her family, she is also survived by her beloved Ya-Ya Sisters, loving neighbors, and many who considered her their second mom.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Stone will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Pastor Phil Meadows will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Woodlawn Funeral Home.
