Karen (Hester) Fox

Karen H. Fox, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at her home. Karen was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Tommy Hester, Sr. and Barbara Cooper Hester. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Hester, Jr.

Karen attended Goshen Free Will Baptist Church. She was employed by the City of Mount Holly and loved her job working with the community seniors. She especially enjoyed organizing events for the seniors. Karen was a caring and feisty individual who was full of life and loved caring for others. In her spare time, Karen enjoyed designing unique jewelry and loved to shop, especially for shoes.

Karen is survived by her husband of 36 years, Chris Fox; her son, Charles Curtis Fox; her sister, Debra Olmstead; and was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Karen's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. Karen's family will greet guests at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
