Katherine "Nannie" Catoe, 74, passed away peacefully holding the hands of her sweet daughters on December 10, 2024. "Nannie" was born of the late Fred and Evelyn Bridges Gay of Mecklenburg Co. She was also preceded in death by two sisters.
"Nannie" married the love of her life, Jacky Catoe in October,1970. They dated all through high school and decided to marry on Halloween , which coincidentally was Jacky's Birthday. She worked for many years, at BellSouth (formerly Southern Bell) while raising a family. "Nannie" was a character, she sometimes was referred to as the most Selfish/Giver ever. She loved her grandkids immensely, but yearned for a precious boy. She had her first great -grand-boy on Friday and got to meet and hold him. Her eyes may have not been open but her heart sure was full!
"Nannie" had a house full of girls, and she finally got a boy!!! Her favorite boy was always sweet Cole Gales, but Greyson Cameron replaced him. "Nannie undoubtedly loved all of them the same and was proud of All of her kids. Nannie and Jacky were often referred to as the" most wonderful grandparents", they attend almost every function each child has and always support them.
"Nannie" is survived by her loving family Jacky Catoe, husband , Nikki and Eric Woodward, James and Amanda Rosselot, Hollee and Jake Taylor, Layla Rosselot (Cole Gales), Aliya Rosselot, and Great Grand-boy Greyson Cameron Taylor.
