Kathryn H. Parrott

KATHRYN ANN HARWOOD PARROTT, 88, of Charlotte NC passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2024 following a period of declining health. She was born May 29th, 1935, to the late G.H. Harwood, Sr. and Kate McGalliard Harwood of Charlotte, NC

Also preceding her in death were husband Jack E. Parrott, Sr. and a sister Ruth Harwood York from Charlotte

Surviving are a brother, G.H. Harwood, Jr. of Cherryville, NC, a son, Kenneth Wesley "Bird" Cooper, Jr. and wife Patty and son Garrett of Charlotte, NC and a daughter, Sherrie Vandergriff of Charlotte, her love Larry Hale, and many nieces and nephews and her Grand Dogs.

Funeral Services will be held Monday January 15, 2024 in the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly, NC. Visitation will be at 11:00 AM and Services will begin at noon, with the Reverend Tony Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

She was an active member for many years at Calvary Baptist Church in Shuffletown.

She retired from Lincoln Electric following 22 years of service.

She enjoyed playing golf at Pine Island Golf Course and at the beach with husband Jack. She was a Past Worthy Matron in the Mount Holly Chapter Eastern Star and also was a Country-Western Dance Team Mom.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Gentiva Hospice of Monroe, 1428 Ellen Street, Monroe, NC 28112 for their loving care to Kathryn in her final months.
