Kathy Jo (Whitfield) Morris

Kathy Jo Whitfield Morris, 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. She was born in Stephens County, Georgia, daughter of the late Ernest Franklin Whitfield, Sr. and Fannie Ruth Herron Whitfield Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Roy Morris, and her mother-in-law, Bertie Morris.

Mrs. Morris is survived by her husband, Roy Ernest Morris; her children, Cynthia Kelley, Betty Abernathy (Jason), and Amanda Morris (AJ Jones); her grandchildren, Joshua Kelley, Trevor Kelley, and her "puddin cup" Jamie Abernathy; her great-grandson, Joshua Kelley; and her brother Ernest Whitfield (John Tolleson). Her family holds fond memories of her loving nature and remembers her love of horror movies.

The family will greet guests from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation, to start at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont.
