Kenneth Stone Obituary

Kenneth Edward Stone, 95, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at his home. He was born in Belmont NC , son of the late Bartley A. Stone and Thelma Black Stone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Cochrane; his sons, Pastor Bart Stone and Kevin Stone; his grandchildren, Savanah Elmore, Tristan Stone, Elona Stone, and Neely Smith; great grandchild Chevy Lee Roberts and his siblings, Betty Jean Springs, Gerald Stone, Henry Stone, Billy Stone, Ted Stone and Jimmy Stone. Mr. Stone was in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated his own taxi service for a number of years and he retired as a truck driver .You could find him outdoors which was his favorite place to be or spending time with his family. He loved each and every one of them dearly. Most importantly, Mr. Stone loved Jesus and was thankful for his many blessings.

Mr. Stone is survived by his children, John Stone (Lorna), Kent Stone, Jason Stone (Susan), Adam Stone, Clay Stone (Ersie), Samuel Stone, Josh Stone, Kim Horne (Mike), Donna Beckford (Wayne), Samantha High, Darla Ball (Shane), Cherry Cash, and Kelly Pritchard (Brad);38 grand children; 41 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Joy Stone Moore (Doug) Anna Stone Michaelis and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Community Pentecostal Center, Stanley, NC. A service to celebrate Mr. Stone's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Independent Baptist Tabernacle, Dallas. Pastor Jason Stone will be officiating the service for his dad. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
