Larry Dean Gilbert

Larry Dean Gilbert, 78, died January 14, 2025 at Cardinal Health and Rehab in Lincolnton. He was born in Lincoln County, son of the late Horace Andrew and Carrie Lee Eaker Gilbert. He was a retired over the road truck driver, having driven for many years for Burlington and then Walmart. He is survived by three sons Stacy Gilbert and wife Tammy, Dean Gilbert and wife Kelly, and Matt Gilbert, a sister Sue Schronce, a brother Gene Gilbert, three grandchildren Niki Gilbert, Kelsey Gilbert, and Austin Gilbert, three nephews Dennis Schronce, Michael Schronce, and Robbie Gilbert, and a niece Tammy Gilbert.

The funeral service conducted by Pastor Scottie Stewart will be held Friday January 17 in the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until service time. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 21st at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.
