Leonard Lee Helton, Sr.

Leonard Lee Helton Sr., 80, of Lincolnton, met Jesus face to face on Saturday, October 14, 2023.  He was born in Lincoln County to the late John Henderson Helton and Eulene Dellinger Helton.  Leonard retired from Timken after 20 years.  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Geraldine, of 60 years of marriage; sons, Tim  Helton and his wife, Tracy, and Leonard Lee Helton, Jr.; brother, Allen Helton and his wife, Doris; grandchildren, Aleigha Tucker and her husband, Marc, Morgan Knight, Alexa Helton, Haley Helton, Garrett Helton, EJ Merritt, Reanna Rosetti, Destiny Schronce, and Ashley Hulcey; great grandchildren, Connor and Alaya; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  The family will greet guests from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.  A service, officiated by Pastor Wayne Black, to celebrate Leonard's life, will be held immediately following at 1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.  Interment will conclude at Greenwood Cemetery, Belmont.
