Linda Francis (Cobb) Beer

Linda "Penny" Cobb Beer, 74, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late James Cobb and Bertha Cobb Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Beer; her sisters, Carol Cameron and Sara Cobb; and her brothers, Eddie Cobb and Buddy Cobb.

Mrs. Beer is survived by her son, Michael E. Beer and wife, Lauren; her grandchildren, Asher, Ben, and Jack; her honorary daughter, Jessie Johnson and husband, L.J.; her sisters, Betty Rogers and husband, Jack, Dottie Houser and husband, Teddy, and Janette Barbara; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Beer will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Inurnment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
